Your driver’s license

How to Submit Your Driver’s License

  1. Take a clear photo of the front and back of your valid driver’s license.

  2. Log in to your RetroRide driver account.

  3. Go to Documents → Upload License.

  4. Select your photo and upload it directly through the app or website.

  5. Double-check that your information is visible and matches your application.

Once submitted, our team will verify your license. You’ll be notified by email or in-app when your document is approved.

A background check

To keep RetroRide safe and trustworthy, all drivers must pass a background and driving history check. With your consent, we’ll review your criminal record and driving history for safety concerns. This is not a credit check, and your financial history will not be affected. Once approved, you’ll be cleared to drive with RetroRide.

Insurance and other documents

If you’re driving your own car, you’ll need to upload proof of insurance and registration. In some areas, a vehicle inspection may also be required.

Your car, or a rental

You must have a 4-door vehicle, or rent a car through Express Drive. Vehicle requirements vary by region.

RetroRanger™ Driver Requirements

To qualify as a RetroRide™ driver, you’ll need to meet the following:

🚗 Age & Experience

  • Must be 21 years or older

  • At least 1 year of licensed driving experience (3 years if under 25)

📄 Documents

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license

  • Vehicle registration (if using your own car)

  • Proof of insurance that meets local requirements

🚘 Vehicle Standards

  • 4-door vehicle (2010 or newer recommended)

  • Good condition with working seatbelts, clean interior, and no major cosmetic damage

  • Pass RetroRide’s safety and cleanliness check

🛡️ Background & Safety

  • Consent to a background check

  • No major violations in the past 3 years (DUIs, reckless driving, etc.)

  • Meet RetroRide’s community standards

✅ RetroRide™ Delivery Driver Requirements

 

To qualify as a RetroRide™ delivery driver (RetroEats™ / RetroRush™ courier), you’ll need to meet the following:

🚲 Age & Experience

  • Must be 18 years or older (bike or scooter couriers).

  • Must be 21 years or older if using a car for deliveries.

📄 Documents

  • Government-issued photo ID (all applicants).

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license if using a scooter or car.

  • Vehicle registration (if delivering by car).

  • Proof of insurance (required for cars; may apply for gas scooters depending on state law).

🚘 Vehicle Standards

  • Car deliveries: 4-door vehicle (2010 or newer recommended), good condition, working seatbelts, clean interior.

  • Scooter or bike deliveries: Safe, roadworthy, and compliant with local regulations.

🛡️ Background & Safety

  • Consent to a background check.

  • No major violations in the past 3 years (DUIs, reckless driving, etc.).

  • Must meet RetroRide’s community standards.
