Your privacy matters

This policy applies to RetroRide™ Rideshare & Delivery websites (including RetroRideHQ.com and subdomains), mobile apps for iOS and Android, RetroEats™ – Food and Shop & Save Mode, History Mode™ (location facts) and receipts, RetroWatch™ wearable app, and RetroRide™ Business dashboard and admin tools.

The information we collect

We collect information you provide, information we collect automatically, and information from others to provide and improve our services. This includes:

  • Account details: Name, email, phone, password or SSO ID.
  • Profile and preferences: Photo, display name, language, accessibility settings.
  • Payment details: Tokenized card details processed by our payment partners.
  • Identity and driver documents: License, vehicle and insurance for drivers.
  • Communications and support: Messages, call recordings where allowed by law.
  • User content: Photos, ratings, reviews, incident reports.
  • Device and app data: IP address, device IDs, OS and app version, settings, crash logs.
  • Location data: Precise GPS and course for trips when the app is in use. Background location for drivers so pickups, navigation and safety features work.
  • Sensor data: Motion and accelerometer signals to improve safety and trip accuracy.
  • Usage data: Screens viewed, buttons tapped, referral codes, marketing campaign attribution.
  • Cookies and SDKs: Analytics and preference cookies on web, similar tech in apps.
  • Trips and routes: Pickup and dropoff, time, price, route, ratings.
  • History Mode™ (location facts): Search, filters, exports and receipts.
  • Shop & Save Mode and RetroEats™ – Food: Orders, restaurant selection, delivery address, notes. If you add dietary tags, we treat them as sensitive and use them only to fulfill your order.
  • RetroWatch™: Notification delivery and simple interactions. We do not collect health data from your watch.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve services. Create accounts, match riders and drivers, route trips, deliver orders.
  • Safety and integrity. Verify identity, detect fraud, prevent unsafe use, support incident response.
  • Payments and accounting. Process payments and refunds, send receipts, manage balances such as RetroCard.
  • Communications. Send trip updates, receipts, support replies, policy notices, product updates. You can opt out of non-essential marketing.
  • Personalization and research. Improve recommendations, app performance and accessibility.
  • Legal compliance. Satisfy tax, regulatory and law enforcement requests where required.

Our legal bases for processing under GDPR include contract, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligation, and vital interests.

How we share information

We share information:

  • With other users: First name and initial, profile photo, ratings and pickup details are shared between matched riders and drivers as needed for a trip.
  • With service providers: Payment processors, identity and background checks, cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, communications, mapping and navigation.
  • With enterprise customers: Program admins may receive reports about rides and orders charged to their program.
  • For legal reasons: To comply with law, enforce terms or protect rights and safety.
  • With affiliates or in a transaction: If we reorganize or sell assets your information may transfer with notice and the same protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may use cookies or SDKs for analytics and our own promotions. Where the law treats targeted advertising as sharing, you can opt out.

Your choices and rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access and correction: View and edit your information in the app or by request.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion. We keep what the law requires such as fraud logs and tax records.
  • Portability: Export trip and order history.
  • Location and notifications: Control in device settings and in app.
  • Marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails and push messages.
  • Do Not Sell or Share: Where available you can opt out of cross-context advertising.
  • Appeals: In some US states you can appeal a request decision. See regional section.
